The other day while getting setup for some elk calling I heard a twig snap. Through some elk calls out nothing. Few minutes later I heard it again and it was moving away. Figured it had to be a moose so let out some bull grunts raked some bush and he came grunting right in to about 20 yards. Just prior to him hitting this opening he let out a big snort. I’m no moose biologist but they seem to do that when in close as a sort of like show yourself and fight. The following day while elk hunting again I was walking along exploring not being quiet. Next thing you know I heard a bull grunting. Must have thought another moose had wondered in. Let out a couple grunts and raking and eh was in to 20 yards as well. A smaller 34-36” bull but no pictures. Was very thick. Could have got a bullet through but not enough for an arrow or a picture
