Some people will do anything to get a good hunt. I thought that all you Montanans were honest to the core.

Couldn't but help to get a slight chuckle out of this article.... thinking of that guy getting a medical waiver (in grown toe nail) just so he could hunt a better spot.

Seems some ruin the good intent for others that are honest.

Wow, missing my left hand qualifies me for an PTHV lifetime permit in Montana...

Which poses the question; can that ruling apply to non-residents or only to those Montana residents who are trying to scam the system? There's always that element who use their lack of a sense of fairness and honor to try and get a leg up on any situation. If they can live with themselves, so be it, but in my estimation they're lower than whale turds.

FWP showed a facebook page of a guy who had a pthfv standing on top of a mountain, with a billy on his back.

I'd say there was some need to reign this in.

The issue has been raised by some guys called the Blackfoot Access GRoup. Great group of disabled hunters, landowners and others who want to ensure the future of the permit, but also ensure that those who truly need it, get it. Their contention is that the excessive issuance of these permits is leading to the closure of a lot of private land because of the abuse.

Chris Clasby is leading this up. He's hell on wheels, literally. Great guy, great group, and there's a lot of support from the resident community to help fix this problem.

I'm deaf in one ear and can't tell which direction elk are coming from. I think that puts me at a disadvantage. Hmmm.
