Montana Pronghorn

If you don’t have a bullet fly in your direction you missed out on the experience.
Last year my buddy and I hid behind the does we were both quartering out as bullets whizzed overhead because some idiot was skyline shooting over the hill right in front of us. Using downed game as a shield - all part of the experience.

Yeah, people can get stupid out there. Another reason I like walking a ways and getting in some terrain. Or going mid week after the craziness. That really cuts down on the shenanigans.

I know I made it a juicy title (should have asked for honey holes) but 800+ views in 24 hours is exactly why I asked to converse via private message.

Thank you to those that I've talked with over private message. Much appreciated.

What exactly was the question or the point of this thread ?
To reach out to those who've hunted pronghorn in Montana (as I have not) in order to ask a few questions.

I figured creating this thread and was a good way to get some conversations started (via PM) as to not completely air out hunting districts over the interwebs.

I don’t think there’s many secrets anymore fire away

Im curious how many points you all think it'd take for a decent tag. My wife and I have been building them and we keep going back and forth on when we should go for it. We won't be looking to kill a monster but would like to find a hunt we could enjoy seeing a few decent bucks

Just reading through this. Antelope hunting in MT has changed quite dramatically over recent years, much more crowded. In some of the districts that give out more tags, I wish they'd reduce them a bit. I'd personally opt for getting a tag less years if it means reduced hunter numbers when I get one. Maybe give the same number of tags out if they need to to manage the population, but give multiple tags to each recipient.
