I learned two things on this trip: you don't always need to shoot the first four point you see and ALWAYS check the batteries in your camera before you leave truck (even if you recently charged them).

Was this buck the first 4 point you saw?

I saw one four point right at first light that was a borderline shooter for me and another smaller one about 30 minutes before I shot this one. I had three days to hunt, it was only the first morning and the deer were rutting like crazy, so I was trying not to get too trigger happy like I usually do. However, this one was by far the biggest deer I've seen while hunting, so there was no way I was letting him walk.

Don't know for sure, but he definitely doesn't have the block head that you see in some other big bucks. Big body though.
