Montana Leftover (deer) tags?

So I have my elk tag, when I applied I thought I’d only have 5 or 6 days to hunt and didn’t want to risk being on a time crunch to fill two tags, thanks to covid, now I’ve got a month! Does anyone know approximately when surplus deer tags will be announced?

I hope you realize the only surplus or OTC tags will be doe tags . There’s no leftover or surplus A tags (buck tags)

To further this I think you can only posses one combo tag be it deer,elk, or deer/elk combo.

no worries, I wont be able to hunt this year in Alabama due to work, so this would be all of my big game hunting for the year. I am completely content with a doe.

He means that the Big Game Combo license has a deer tag plus an elk tag. Did you get the Big Game Combo, or just the elk?
