Have my NR tags in hand (on my phone actually), just waiting to see if I drew a special permit for either deer or elk.

One of the things I appreciate the most about Buzz is that no matter how much we disagree on whatever topic, if I call him for help...He picks up the phone and does what he can. Every. Single. Time. No grudge, no hurt feelings, just an ally I can trust and I know exactly where he stands. The older I get, the more I appreciate people like that. Man enough to disagree and man enough to put it aside and work together where we do agree. It seems to be a dying quality in this day and age and I think it's the source of a lot of problems in our society (my humble opinion).

That's the general idea. My whining about the 4x resident fees was addressed, pretty sure a lot of that from the mockery I was making of that ridiculous law on hunttalk.

Have I ever shown you what an $80 NR elk or $64 NR deer look like?

Montana R's that passed that initial law should be ashamed that they allowed me take advantage of Montana's wildlife like that.

I figured. Know that i appreciate that but seperately wonder why you/want need to capatialize on the opportunity, but if its about hunting with family i understand a little.

I agree. Thanks for telling them it was stupid then - clearly not enough residents in Montana do that enough. Hardly unique for our legislature to piss on wildlife and/or the vast majority of the people who live here.

It’s always kinda fun to joke about the ineptitude of a government agency, but didn’t the draw kinda go off without a hitch last year?

I mean, I drew a great tag, so it must have. Ha.

Seriously though, there seems to be a theme of someone taking over an agency, saying “let’s change a bunch of stuff to make it more efficient!” Then kinda royally gunking up the works for a few years until agency X creeps its way back to doing things as they did before. Seems like FWP licensing might be getting to that point after the initial GG attempted shakeup.
