Missing CO Hunters

Sounds like they have had several crews working thermal drones and regular drones along with everything else. Really seems like they are pulling out all the stops on this.

I'm still worried about foul play or something. Seems like with all the searching they would have found something by now.

Took a long time to find the guy that went missing on cloud peak recently. Guys wearing camo in the woods??? Could take a lot of looking and its easy to miss them/ walk right by.

Same im thinking conflict between the 2 maybe? I dont think it would be with someone? But could be also could be they came across a snake? Rattlesnake? I know theres alot of them out there

A rattlesnake did not kill two elk hunters. Lightning and hypothermia are the two most likely causes. Prayers for their families. What a sad deal.

Bodies of missing hikers, Charlottesville-area natives, found in Colorado - Cville Right Now

Two Charlottesville-area natives who disappeared last week during a hunting trip in southern Colorado have been found deceased.

Regardless of what they determine the cause of death to be, I think we all owe it to ourselves and loved ones to make every effort to come home.

Pack the rain gear, tops & bottoms. Throw a light weight tarp and emergency blanket in your pack. Buy a damn inreach or zoleo if you don't have one, and turn on the breadcrumb trail. It might not have changed the outcome in this specific case, but an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

I have seen speculation that it could have been a rockslide. That is also a possibility.

I cannot imagine the grief the family is undergoing. I have decided if there is ever a missing person relatively close to me, I will make every possible effort to be one of the searchers.

Terrible. Unfortunately this late into the search that was pretty much the expectation. Really feel for their families. I know its always in the far back of my mind everytime we leave to go out West.

We all tend to measure whether our hunts are successful or not in different ways but tend to forget that one of the most important things is making it back to our loved ones. Lots of things that can go wrong out there. Very sad to hear.
