Scrap deer feeder legs, couple old drop hitches, old deer rack, some galvanized tubing and a couple lawnmower blades later....

Finished product. Couldn’t be happier. This will free up a bunch of space for us. I'll give it a test run this weekend.

Not a ton of fab work but when cleaning up the property at the shop I found this 6x10 tilt trailer frame. It was built pretty stout but it was just the frame and springs. I talked to my boss's widow about it and she gave it to me since it wasn't really worth anything in the condition it was in. I put a 6k lb braked axle under it which required some blocking under the spring mounts for clearance, welded on a support for a center jack, redid the ends for holding the deck boards, rattle canned it, wired it up, and decked it. Thought about diamond plate but it was already getting over budget so just 2x6s for now. Tested it out yesterday with a load and it pulled great, other than having to cut the stake pockets after this picture when I saw they were going to cut the tires down.

"One man's junk is another man's treasure". I'll bet that trailer will serve you well. You might consider a couple swing away jacks for the tail end if you're going to load over the back.

Yeah thats a good idea. I just used a jack stand this time. Thats actually a friend's tractor, not something I'll regularly be hauling. I really dont have any need for 6k lb capacity except maybe dirt or gravel, but if I was going to order and axle and have to pay freight, I figured go big or go home.
