Where did you get the speed controller?I built this 2x72 belt grinder when I realized a comparable one was $2k.
Nice!
Already reported you on his behalf@slatebuilder I see how my last comment could've been taken wrongly, I meant no disrespect by it.
I got it right from KB-controls. I added a power on/off switch so I could leave it plugged in and still kill the power and a forward/reverse which I use once in a while. I'm pretty sure I got those switches on amazon. I am not an electrician, but it was surprisingly easy to wire up. They had really straight forward instructions.Where did you get the speed controller?
It wasn’t taken wrongly. All good. Is that piece stainless?
That's pretty cool.I can't seem to post the video of it but it's a continuous sweep clock I made where the tiny c-130 goes around the clock. The numbers on the minute hand are the 3 coast guard c-130's that have crashed.
The housing is from one of the props.

Insane amount of work for a readily available item, if not in ss could've had a steel one plated..Don't ask why...

That was back when I had time for doing such frivolous things. And it's a perfect match to the stud on the forend cap posted above.Insane amount of work for a readily available item, if not in ss could've had a steel one plated..
Sorry, but I gotta ask.. WHY???.
that is pretty neat.I've really enjoyed looking at the woodworking thread! I searched to see if we had done metal or not, didn't find anything. Post your work!
I'll start with a trout sculpture I did a few years ago as a commission piece. I haven't had time to do much artsy metal work since.
This is 20ga steel sheet, hand formed, with 2 stage urethane candy paint.
