As someone who worked for a VC for several years, the details of the deal sheet answers if and how control can be taken by the investor. Sometimes is easy for investor to take over as soon as a few metrics are missed such as sales targets. In other cases, not easy. Rinella is the face of the brand so an outsider taking over control would be shutting down Meat Eater. That is a bad investment. If that is the goal, though, and an investor has enough money to flush what would be a considerable amount then there would need to be a non-compete so Rinella is not able to walk across the street and start or join a similar pro-hunting media player. I prefer to look for the simplest answer which is the investor wants to see the media brand grow and provide a nice return on the investment.

If hunters/shooters/outdoorsmen do not vote with their pocket books, then this will be the way of the future. Anybody that claims to be an avid hunter/shooter/gun owner and is willing to vote for the new socialist party, is nothing more than a hypocrite, anyway. I realize that Pelosi is the hero of you leftists, but at least she is not a hypocrite. Keep voting socialist and see what this country is in a few years.

We can usually count on you when we need a lower level of discussion rallying the call for hyper-partisanship. Anyone who isn't a partisan boot-licking leg humper predictably gets tagged by you as a socialist/leftists.

Funny thing, the other day I got hammered in a PM for running a site that is filled with right wing racists, fascists and bigots. I told the person to go somewhere else if he is such a sensitive person. He then asked that I delete his account, to which I obliged.

Then guys like you come here to share very little in the way of helpful information, yet love to tell the world what a bunch of liberal/socialists/leftists hang out here. Between the comments in the PM from that former user, and comments like yours above, I guess that puts this forum somewhere between independent thinking/anti-partisan/party-agnostic; right about where I hope it stays.

I laugh when I read your posts on other forums about this forum and the folks who hang out here. Let me know if you want help deleting your account. I'm still on the road, but I can surely make time to help you.

I'm tired of the assault on free thinking, reasonable, moderates and political centrists. This site can't be both a haven for right-wing fascists and left-wing radicals...

Keep digging yourself deeper into your partisan grave and refusing to listen to other viewpoints...see what this country is in a few years.

Yeah makes way more sense. Rinella IS meateater so it's really just a matter of wanting in on a good media brand. I still would hope Rinella's team did their due diligence on the contract tho.

Heres a thought.... what if he is taking the anti-gun/hunting dudes money and using it to further guns and hunting...... Mind blown...

One of my mentors had some pretty good advice he paraphrased from the book of Matthew "A person will show you who they are by the fruits they bear." Reckon we could just continue to look at Mr. Rinella and companies actions and words and judge based off that. So far, hes doing what hes always claimed to be doing.

I reckon some folks just wanna fight all the time. Weird times

Jeez, Fwagner. I might be couch bound gluten with an affinity for flaming Cheetos and Pepsi, but a racist I am not.

Completely agree. I am one of those radical centrists as well. I begrudgingly voted for some far left candidates this year. I didn’t really agree with them on anything, but the seated republicans (now unseated) were blatantly anti public lands, so I decided it was time to send a message with my votes.

You know, it is funny. I just saw Steve do a live show here in CA two weeks ago, and he called all us Californias crazy, so I guess that makes him a newt!
