No ME moose tag for me. Now i can set my hunting plans all draws are out for me. Planing on hunting 4 or 5 state if time alows me two. CANT WATE. GOOD LUCK ALL

Nothing for me in either but I still have Vt left to draw.Mudranger, in Maine either the permit holder or sub permitee can shoot the moose;but not both.I started gaining points for my 12 yr old there this year.Hope he draws before he's too old to hunt.Its very tough odds there

Yup, just like mixedbag said: either can be the shooter but allowed a total of one moose for the tag. Given that it is his tag, he will certainly be the shooter, I'm just backup! Being the shooter or not, just being a part of the hunt is good for me. Sure I'd love to be the shooter, and some day hope to be, but I just want to be out there and lay my hands on one...oh, and add some meat to the freezer.
