Anybody put a Mcarbo trigger spring on a Winchester 70? If so how did you like it? Since you remove the two nuts it seems like there is no adjustment.

A friend just did one on his M70 7mmMag and likes it. I've done it on several Howa and Browning with success. It's no replacement trigger but does help. Don't go too light with spring.

Works great, put it on a Model 70 in .280 Remington and hunted with it for a few years. No issues.

Did one this past summer. Agree with MThuntr, no replacement trigger but did make a noticeable difference. I did no other adjustments besides the spring swap.

I recently installed one in my Model 70 Featherweight, it made a noticeable difference, just the spring change. Dropped the trigger pull weight by almost 2 pounds, now at 2.5 pounds. Have also done my 2 Browning X Bolts, and my Remington 750. All good!

Yeah, plenty of folks have installed the M CARBO trigger spring kit on Winchester 70s especially pre 2008 models, and the feedback is overwhelmingly positive for a cheap upgrade.
Drops pull weight dramatically often from 5–6 lbs down to 2–3 lbs some report 1–2.5 lbs, with a crisp, clean break and no creep overtravel.
Super easy install 10–15 mins, drop in replacement for the old springs.
Great value $18–20 many say it turns a meh factory trigger into something really nice or one of the best without buying a full Timney Jard replacement.
On the adjustment You're right the kit removes the two locknuts which were the old overtravel engagement adjusters, so there's no traditional adjustment left. It's designed as a fixed lighter pull. Most users are fine with that since the result is crisp and safe no slam fires reported. If you want adjustability, go full aftermarket trigger instead.
Short answer If you're okay with a set it and forget it lighter pull and most are thrilled, it's a no brainer win. Tons of happy hunters bench guys swear by it.

I ended up ordering a spring from Ernie the Gunsmith, this will allow me to keep the two locknots for adjustments. I will test out and see how I like, if it is not what I am looking for I will try the Mcarbo. Will keep you posted on how it feels.
