Drew my first ND badlands mule deer tag this year and was lucky enough to take a good one. Big Otis has been dropped off at the taxidermist so now I am looking for ideas on how to have him mounted. I've done the semi-sneak pose with most of the family's mounts but am considering a wall pedestal for this one.

Anyone willing to share pictures of your mounts in order to help me decide?

That's an amazing buck! Congrats.

A few of my favorites I've saved over the years. I'm having my buck from last year mounted using the top form (by Joe Combs). The taxidermist from Deer Creek, I believe now works for Dewy.

Josh Hunt from Deer Cr is excellent and I believe you are correct that he moved on to Dewey. He has mounted deer, elk, moose, sheep and caribou for me and each one is a true work of art.

Great buck Bwana my vote would be wall pedestal I think they are cool.

Awesome buck! To me, that buck screams to have it's head low. He carries the mass so well, I would consider full sneak with a right turn to show off the deeper fork. At the end of the day, probably can't pick a bad mount on a buck that nice.

Usually the Taxidermist has a couple form companies to choose from. Think about where big Otis is going? Will he be High on the wall, or eye level? Which side of the room when you enter? He should be lookingat you when yo come in the room.

That’s very good advice, especially when you already have multiple mounts in a room. I would go full sneak like the third pic bambistew posted and pick your turn based on the wall or what you want to display. A pedestal would be awesome too. So many choices.
I had all my mounts done with my old house in mind when I was a bachelor. Now they are all crammed into a small reading nook in our current house. Total bummer.

100% agree with think about where it’s going.

I’ve always been a fan of the alert with a slight turn (pic 1) but the right ears make the mount.

The super sneak is a fantastic way to display one up high or over a cabinet. (pic 2)

but the big turn mounts (can’t remember the true name) are great to display together (pic 3)
