If they wanna argue that governors and talked tags are the same thing as selling land owner tags then all profit made from selling by the tag should go back to the Fwp. I highly doubt this goes anywhere wish I had known about the meeting in Powell I would have probably drove down to speak against it so this horse shit doesn’t cross the state line

Why wouldn’t LO tags fit on a DIY forum? Unit-wide LO tags are one of the best tools a NR DIY hunter has.
I was merely sharing an article I found interesting, didn’t really offer any commentary.

It’s goes against the entire reason this forum exists. @Big Fin is literally out in dc right now fighting for public land. The best tool a nr hunter has is between his ears sorry you haven’t figured out how to get a good tag. The trickle effect of selling tags would have a huge effect on that state. We can continue if you want since you started this thread I’m willing to burn this thing to the ground but it 98.765528% of people on here are against this.

I’m getting the impression you aren’t totally familiar with how these work.
In addition to being able to use them DIY on public land, they also open up private land to public use.
I don’t factor the percentage of people being for or against something into my personal calculus. That’s how echo chambers are born.

I don’t think you realize that the price of these tag will go through the roof and just like all the other lo tags you won’t be able to afford them. On top of that the landowners left that do allow people on to hunt will start closing doors when guys are buying these tags and leasing the ranch to hunt. Which will push more guys into public.

20% of tags in Colorado go to landowners, many of whom don't support enough animals with their property to justify getting those tags. This is Colorado's system, and it limits the total tags that can go to landowners
Wyoming is planning to increase the minimum acreage necessary to apply for landowner tags, making it for very large landowners only.
Wyoming has no cap on their percentage of tags that can go to landowners.
Many high demand Wyoming units already have almost their entire nonresident quota going to nonresident landowners, despite there being plenty of public land in the unit. Some units also have significant portions of their resident quota going to landowners. Imagine if those landowner tags become transferable? DIY hunting will dwindle, making federal public lands "unnecessary."
Residents should probably get on this quick.

I have a question for just Wyoming residents:
If all landowner tags were fully transferable, but the acceptace of the tags (doesn't matter what the landowner chose to do with them) meant full access for the general public during all hunting seasons, would that be seen as a win? Or a loss?
