This will be interesting to keep track of. The city of Woodside is stating it can't meet the development goals handed down by the state because the city is all habitat for the "candidate for protection species" mountain lion. Even if they don't win the lawsuit they may add some layers to the development process that makes it less feasible for developers to build on some parcels. Two of the progressives favorite policies, more housing and protecting large carnivores coming against each other.
