Leupold VX-3 vs. VX-6

Can you quantify that please, and compare and contrast the individual differences?

No, I'm not the scope manufacturer. I'm only going by what the experts are saying. Me, I've got the same Leupold Vari-X III 3.5-10x40 that I've had since 1993. But I'm not a turret twister either, and I've never shot at a big game animal further than 325 yards.

But I'm hoping to get up to speed on shooting to at least 500 yards with a new and better scope in the near future.

I have a VX3 4.5 x 14 CDS on my 300. It is clear and bright and I have tested the dial system to 500 yards and it works. Wished I had a couple thousand bucks to buy a bunch of 3.5 x 10 and 4.5 x 14's with CDS.
Dan

I have the same scope on my 300 got it when on sale for $100 off. Only had one season but it is a great scope. I will be putting one on my next gun also. I have not tried the cds yet since Im still working on a load

WH,

What experts are those?

I twisted turrets (M1's) on 2 leupolds yesterday from 8 different ranges between 250 and 750...tracked perfectly like they always do.

I already said- on 24 Hour Campfire. I'd like it if Leupolds are up to the task as I much prefer buying American made.

Last week I bought a new 4.5-14x40 cds vx-3 that's normally 750 bucks for 400 delivered. I don't think I'll regret buying that scope.
