Leupold Elevation/Windage changeout with Target Adjustment.

Has anybody had any practical experience with changing out the 'regular' windage/elevation Assemblies with the "Target" type on the same scope?

I know that they are interchangeable. Even with one scope size to another. Example: 6x18 x 40 to a 6.5 x 20. What I'd like to do is to 'swap' the assemblies between the two. Has anybody had any experience in doing that other than sending them into Leupold?

Please give me your results.

Personally, I'd never try doing that myself. Especially when Leupold will do it for you for $70 bucks.

But that's just me.....

The price for them to do it now is $120 each scopeand take 3 to 4 weeks to do it. I do know that they are interchangeable, I just was hoping that it could be a 'quick and easy' way to do it.

I wouldn't hesitate posing your question to Leupold's customer support.

As much as I like to do things on my own, I don't think that particular job is well suited to the hobbiest. Leupold's custom shop is pretty quick and reasonably priced (IMO).
