LET'S TALK COFFEE :)

I'm still down with folgers instant coffee packets. For $2 I get enough for most of elk camp and it's not all that bad tasting. I'm carrying water anyway, so might as well make some instant coffee. It's camp and hunting... it's not supposed to be perfect.
Add powder creamer and some hot chocolate mix ... and it becomes perfect! You can combine in a lightweight package.

It's not coffee but this works for the caffeine junky without a stove. I'll take a No-Doze caffeine pill (actually it probably store brand) and dissolve it in a Nalgene bottle with water and a Gatorade packet. Sip it though the morning and you get a steady dose of caffeine for several hours.

Coffee is just another waste of money like beer...but when I do have a cup it's decaf, I know, why drink it then...and it's from a Nespresso...Once off caffeine your life will be better....stopped 20+ years ago...
No way senior. Fully loaded coffee is pure awesomeness

My church partners with a ministry in Guatemala which just so happens to be on a coffee farm. Coming home with a bag of beans that was roasted the day before we leave and using a french press is the best coffee i have had. Although the folgers in the 40 year old pot from the church kitchen has a distinct taste you can find nowhere else

I bought this for our camp to replace the old perculator and use on our gas stove. (We do not have electric other then a solar panel for lights) It worked well. It did not hold up.
1st issue was the handle came off the pot mid pour. So we got another. eventually it did the same. Then the bottom of metal heat bubble seperated leaking water into the gas stove. I am going to buy another. But I think the issue was our gas stove gets to hot. So not afraid to get another. Worked well. Just do not crank the heat to high.

Gotta have fresh ground coffee beans from the grinder! Nothing comes close!
Second best -in a pinch- would be Folgers from the local supermarket.

No hate towards the coffee grinder guys. But when you set it to go off 1hr before everyone needs to get up at 4am plotting your disappearance or the coffee grinder/pot disappearance happens organically. At home or office no problem. But when we are all running on fumes just deal with preground. Add to that our guilty party member then proceeds to fill his cup halfway full of flavored creamer prior to pouring his freshly ground coffee. Makes zero sense. With that much creamer it could be the worst coffee ever and taste the same. Rant over
