Lets see your favorite place

I think everyone has that one spot that is their favorite. It could be where you killed your first big game animal the old farmstead where your family started, just a random peak in a mountain range or maybe its your back deck with a beer in your hand. You know that spot and it becomes apart of you whenever you go there. I just wanted to see what everyone's favorite spot looks like. This one of mine I have been there off and on for over a decade. The same nob that over looks the same draw. The beavers have made their dams bigger as time went on. There hasn't been a evening where a deer could not be spotted. I write this on the anniversary of the passing of my cousin 5 years ago. Only 18, but he enjoyed that spot in the badlands the two times we went. I saw him shoot his first mule deer there. I buried a memorial bracelet there next to the same cactus I sit at time and time again. I could sit in that very spot and watch sunset after sunset until I grow old. So lets see your favorite spots and why they are your favorite!!

I do agree it is hard to pick just one, I just want to see what other people view as one of their favorites and what they look like.

Tough to have one favorite spot. Here's one of mine. This trio of peaks is called the Three Brothers and they are in the heart of the Boulder Mountains. I've spent large portions of my life goofing off in this country. It's heavily roaded and filthy with the remnants of mines, and if you get off the roads, seldom visited.

The Northern Highland State Forest in far Northeast Wisconsin is my favorite place of all time. I've been camping here since I've been in diapers. Every summer I camp and fish there with my family, haven't missed one yet. I also enjoy camping out in the fall hunting ruffed grouse and ducks. It will always be home.

North of Butte, Montana. I've shot a few elk up here but the hunting pressure can be a little hard to deal with. Undeniably beautiful, though. The rub was directly to my right when I took the picture of the vista.

NHY- Is that Lake San Cristobal near Lake City? We did a lot of work for the Colorado State Forest Service there about 20 years ago.

Not a great picture, but certainly one of my favorite places. All those brown dots are elk. I shadowed this herd for several days late in bow season a couple years ago. There were a few huge bulls in the group, but I never got closer than about 150 yards. On opening day of the general season, they made the mistake of crossing a road on an open stretch of mountain side. It was a massacre, road hunters converged. This was one of the experiences the convinced me to focus my hunting efforts more in roadless areas.
