Suspect shot, killed by homeowner

Phoenix police say a suspect was shot and killed after trying to steal a car. This happened in a residential neighborhood near 35th Avenue and Glendale early Thursday morning.
The car's owner spotted the crime happening. He told police he feared the suspect would run him over. He says opened fire to save his life. No word yet if police will file charges against the homeowner.
