So my in-laws wanted to take us up to northwest Arkansas this week before my wife started back to work (she’s a school teacher). I was all for it so we could break in our gear and do some whitetail scouting for future hunts. We had a good time.
My wife loved her new Danners but after just half a mile up hill I knew my new Rocky’s won’t work for Colorado. I had been breaking them in at home but it’s all flat around here. Severe hill rub. I did better the next day in my running shoes. I’m gonna have to figure something else out.
Our highest peak was only 2600 but we are coming from 200ft so it was better than nothing.

I’ll add more pics from my camera once we get home. I did manage to see about a dozen deer and get some pics.
