South-facing bluffs in interior Alaska are dominated by a sagebrush species.
Reminds me of the western US in the lower-48, except the conifer is White Spruce instead of a pine species.

Sweet Grass Hills in northcentral Montana where one interesting bit of signage at several spots said, "No hunting. No game retrieval. Don't even stop at the house!"

Can anyone tell me where this is? I took the pic a few years ago on vacation in Colorado, I just remember it was basically a roadside waterfall somewhere in the central part of the state? I was traveling through stopping at anything I thought was interesting and happened to see a small sign naming a creek so I parked roadside and went through the rocks and if I remember correctly this was only about 100 yards from the hwy.
