Here is an article about a guy who supports this website and TV show in a big way, Mike Ellig, owner of Black Gold, Ripcord, and TightSpot.

Mike and I have been friends for 20 years. We have been in a client-adviser relationship for almost as long.

It is nice to see a person work as hard as Mike and Becky have, be as successful as they are, and to keep so grounded and concerned about the average person. If any couple I know meets the definition of humble and understated, it is Mike and Becky. They live so modestly and serve as a great example for their teenager daughters.

A good article that explains Mike and Becky's conservation ethic. And their effort to help average folks have a place to hunt.

If you notice one thing about most our sponsors, they not only make some amazing products, they have a great conservation ethic. Mike, Becky, and their three companies exemplify all of that.

For those looking for archery accessories, I hope you will look into these three great companies:

Mike Ellig is a successful entrepreneur whose love for bowhunting motivated startup of an archery hunting store, then evolved into his three highly successful archery accessory manufacturing businesses. His knowledge, experience, and drive have continued to provide economic value to his family and archery hunting value to his customers. His story of grassroots beginning to high level accomplishment is inspiring and refreshing, especially as it now moves into another phase of adding conservation and wildlife value to some critical landscape. "Kudos to a Hunt Talk supporter" indeed!

Cool stuff. Pretty much the American dream, start a business, work your ass off and give back to future generations of all earths creatures.

I might need to go get me a new rest, I already love my Black Gold sight.

He really is a super guy. You can really tell a lot about a person just in conversation. When you talk to some people they love to tell you all about them and never ask how you are or what you have plans of. Mike has always showed interest in what I've been up to and not simply his plans.

I talked to a guy the other day who is my age that hunted with him about 22 years ago. The guy was a high schooler at the time and said that each time they went out in the field Mike would always bring out garbage he had collected during the day. This guy has never forgotten this small act and it taught him to leave things better than you found them.

What a great person.

I've never had the privilege to meet them, but love their products!
