Kodiak Sitka and raingear

Heading to Kodiak last week of October on a boat hunt for Sitka Blacktail. Anyone want to recommend raingear? I have several different kinds and have looked at numerous threads but cannot decide on what to take. Have heard that gortex might not survive the thorns.

I used grundens Neptune Worked like a champ. You’ll sweat no matter what.

I went Caribou hunting with a Columbia Rain Coat $38 off EBay just looked for my size and the Caribou could have cared less it was corn stalks camo North of the Brooks Range.

I used Marmot Precip jacket and pants when I was on Kodiak. They worked great on the Island…but did delaminate after 10 years of mild general use over the years.
