Quick question: if the muley stamp is completely random, is it worth buying a pp in Kansas? Im thinking either KS or NE in a couple years. Thanks

Oh, I forgot. Definitely doing archery if that makes a difference.

Maybe? ;) IIRC the past couple of years all units have had leftover tags, meaning 100%. On the other hand, a point is $20 and would be cheap insurance to ensure you draw the year/unit you want.

I bought one this year as I had to in order to keep my other points, which I started collecting when they were really needed.

It would be cheap insurance. I think you are pretty much guaranteed an archery tag with a point in any unit that has the mule deer stamp option. I would have to double check the draw odds, but it shouldn't be a problem. I highly recommend hunting western KS. The only bad part is some of the units I have been in, finding whitetails could be difficult if you don't draw the mule deer stamp.
