I wondered while reading a recent article.
The article was about a junior in high school who was told he could not wear a shirt to school which said "Jesus is not a homophobe" or similar.
His family argues free speech should provide for an avenue whereby he can wear the shirt.
If it is determined to be an example of free speech, could another youth wear a similar shirt omitting the word 'not'?

According to Proverbs:

There are six things the Lord hates,

seven that are detestable to him:

17haughty eyes,

a lying tongue,

hands that shed innocent blood,

18a heart that devises wicked schemes,

feet that are quick to rush into evil,

19a false witness who pours out lies

and a man who stirs up dissension among brothers.

I was thinking the same thing. There are a lot of us in trouble with God. Good thing Jesus stands between us and him.

I'm confused... I thought Jesus was God?

I also am fond of the saying Jesus loves me but hates YOU.

You got me thinking and you're absolutely right.

I take it back.

Jesus is definitely hetero. Definitely. :hump:

New Boat! John

God loves people. He hates sin, but He loves people. He loves the kid wearing the t-shirt. He loves the people who don't like the t-shirt. John 3:16 says, "For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." It's Easter Week. This is the week where the depth of God's unfathomable love and His infinite power is celebrated. It's not like Jesus stands in the way of God's burning wrath. God loves us. In fact, He sent His Son, Jesus, to pay the penalty for our sins. All we have to do is place our trust in Him and receive the forgiveness He offers through Jesus. That's what Easter is all about. Praise God!
