It’s Finished !

When I moved to Montana in 2022 , I had 3 goals hunting wise

1. Whitetail , got 2 now
2. Antelope, got him last season
3. Rocky Mtn Bull to go with my Roosevelt Bulls

Today I checked the last box !

Nothing that will turn heads but he’s a hard earned public land bull, I’m a happy man

DUDE HELL YA!!! Nice work Chris!!!! That’s so sick dude I’ve been reading your hunt stories since the beginning of the whitetail quests and that is so B.A. you were able to get one of the elk! No grizzly this time???
A real, hard-earned, public land bull elk. Biggest congrats brother. Can’t wait to see that euro!

I killed that bull about 90 yds from where the second grizzly encounter was last year and the bull dropped about 40 yds from my 2023 WT 🤠 got some history with this spot now

No one has seen that bear this year, from the other people that have been in there hunting that I’ve spoken with. Can’t imagine he’s far off

Because of direct sunlight you can see can just see the tree in the meadow in the upper left corner , my 23 WT dropped real close to that tree

My pack at the base of the tree for the last trip out 23

That brush tangle in front of me was where I was sitting when I shot this buck , if you look at my grip n grin with the bull same brush tangle is in the background of that photo also

The pick from my shooting position yesterday, you can see the tree in the background and the bull with my orange beanie

I was sitting just to the right of and ten yds behind that spruce in the red circle upper right corner when you sit this meadow at sunrise you get direct sunlight in your face and scope , that tree will shade you from that and allows for good shooting lanes , and the tree is big enough you only have to slide a few inches every 20 to 30 min to stay shaded as the sun moves , without some shade it dam near impossible to see through your scope on that hillside, and the Grizzly from last year was behind the trees in the circle on the left

How’s that @Rack Daniels for connecting the dots IMG_8876.jpeg
