Mine is the Garmin InReach Explorer Plus. Garmin has their battery specs and manuals online. Exactly which model do you have?

Im the same age as you. When my son grew up and moved away, i lost my hunting partner...been hunting alone for years. I use a SPOT, and send her my tracks and automated messages to her phone and email.

Mountain hunts I have my garmin messenger to let her track me if she wants me to but I always give her a good idea of my in and out date and will send little updates about how things are going. Deer stand hunting I just let her know the general area. Giving my partner peace of mind shows me to stay out longer so win win
