I feel like I have won the lottery. No I wasn't that Lucky, but I just checked the CO DOW website and I have drawn a Colorado Bighorn Sheep license. hump

It's for GMU 68. That's in the North end of the Sangre De Cristos. I've done some backpacking in the general area, but that was a couple of decades ago. I have no recent recon. I expect to spend most summer weekends hiking/backpacking and scouting the area in an attrempt to rectify my lack of info.

So here's my question. Is there anyone out there who has recent recon on the north Sangre De Cristo Mountains, between Poncha Pass and Hayden Pass? Anyone hunted, or backpacked, or hiked in the area recently? I need all the info that I can get.

Thanks in advance for the help.
