These are 2 fires currently burning in NV units 241 and 242. The area in 241 is one of our favorite quail and chukar hunting spots. It also holds some monster bucks.
The crew my son is on got sent there a few days ago. It's hot, windy and very dry.

Dry out there right now. I'm in AZ and we could sure use some a good monsoon. Hope the Super el Nino comes through for us.

When my sons' crew was first sent to the Kane Springs fire and the Grapevine fire they were both pretty small. The Kane Springs fire is now 17,000+ acres but has 50% containment.
They were sent over to the Grapevine fire last week and it has now grown to over 24,000 acres with ZERO containment.
We've hunted quite a bit in those 2 areas over the years.

This one is burning in one of the best trophy elk units in Utah - Beaver East. Now pushing 80,000 acres burned and 0% contained. Near term weather forecast is not encouraging for getting it under control.
