In my younger days I would have shot this guy. As I get older, I admire and hope for something bigger. Hope he makes it to next year. He is a typical 10 point and was as close as 7 yards at one point.

In my experiences with Iowa's early muzzleloader season, I would be blasting away at that, well as long as the primer doesn't malfunc..... But then again that was on NW Iowa's serious lack of public land

There was actually a yearling doe on the otherside of the tree and he was following her trail. Nothing too serious.
