....we leave for Kodiak Island. I still remember about 3 months ago when IDaho Bugler said We're going and I told my Wife after we booked the Flight". She was like , You're not going to AK this year", I was like "I'm going Twice", it did Cost me alot in Home Decorations... but it was worth it !!!!

These next two weeks better go as Fast os the 3 months went by.....

I can Taste the Fresh Crabs already !!!!

Snows at around 1,000 feet now. Pushed down to about 800 on Wed but we had a nice weekend and its backed off a little. The bucks are rutting, I was out helping a friend get his meat for the freezer and we saw 7 bucks (shot a forkhorn).

That country looks flat

It wasn't too bad on top, but there were some stretches that were a bit steep. It's not the steepness that makes it fun, it's the 8' high grass and alders you get to fight through to get to the top! You're probably gonna want IB to lead...

Well most of the vegetation in down now and the leaves are off the salmon berry brush and alders so its pretty easy going. The weather in Oct has been pretty good, but you might as well figure a day or two on either end for weather delays. Hoping to head over to Afognak this weekend on a friends boat for a deer and possibly elk hunt, if the weather is decent. I'll post pictures if we make it over (and back).

Well, I dropped those yahooos off at the terminal this morning here in Boise. Moosie didn't want IB and I to pick him up too early but I think IdahoBugler was way to anxious to get going. We picked up Moosie and to our surprise, he had all his stuff there waiting on us. He was a little upset since he didn't knock a chunk off before he left but he would have if it wasn't for friggin' youtube...

Those jokers were talking about how funny it would be to kill a deer or a bear with their bare hands and catching it all on video. I guess we'll see....

Good luck boys on the Kodiak hunt. I bet IdahoBugler even shoots a few ducks while he's there since Moosie packed a few extra boxes of shells!
