My nephews have been after me to take them squirrel hunting for a while now. It has been a good 10 years since I have even thought about shooting any squirrel. My oldest nephew Kyle is finishing up pharmacy school, and his younger brother Kaleb is in his third year of premed. I haven't gotten to hunt with them for several years now and I figured a good evening squirrel hunting would get them back in the swing of things. We are hoping to do a Wyoming DIY antelope hunt in a few years once the two boys get some points built up. Anyhow, I have been seeing a ton of squirrel out of a blind that Dad and I built to deer hunt out of so I decided this would be a good a place as any. Unfortunately, the squirrel didn't get the memo this evening and we only ended up getting a few; one by me and one by Kaleb. I have always been partial to a .22 long rifle head shot for squirrel. Anyways, Dad and I must have built that old blind pretty good cause it managed to hold four of us up this evening!
