I do not put in for the 2nd choice anymore. I payed to take part and was not drawn 1st time around. A second chance draw is simply another opportunity to increase revenue. A simpler and less expensive plan would be to draw 10 or so alternates in the first draw and have leftover permits issued to them.

The family donation is complete. 1 in 85 to 1 in 187 odds for us, not sure why I apply. I agree, it should be somehow handled with the first pool of applicants. Perhaps draw the remaining tags for those in the original pool (1st draw) that did not draw for that respective hunt.

We're out too...I'm in agreement, second chance is just another way to get you to re-apply, and there's someone out there who didn't draw and wanted to. Either draw alternates, or put them up for sale if they're not picked up by the deadline.
