ID bear down

Got the opportunity on Friday afternoon to go out and try to find a bear. It was only the second time I've been able to get out this spring, but was lucky enough to have it all come together on this big guy. He measures 6'4" nose to tail and has a giant head. Haven't had a chance to score it yet but it is going to be my best bear. Not real good at guessing weight but I think he was pushing that 300 lb mark. Felt like 700 trying to get him off the mountain. Only thing I'm disappointed about is I didn't get any good field pictures. Was a great quick hunt.

Great bear! Gives me hope with my ever more limited schedule. I'll probably drive the back way to work a do a little glassing on the way this morning with that kind of motivation.

thats a nice bear! I only saw one so far in my outings and he was a bruiser like that one, only I didn't get a shot opp. Congrats on the success!
