I had Wirehaired Pointing Griffons for 23 years. It's been 2 years since the last Griff passed away. I have two German Shorthairs that are 12 years old and vowed that these would be my last dogs. At age 55 I wasn't sure a pup was in my life. Well, I came across a nice pup whose mom and dad were Master hunters and gave in. Once more the feet of a Wirehaired Pointing Griffon will walk across my floors and hunt beside me. If she gives me 1/100th the joy that my previous Griffs gave me (Bree, Hank & Mike).... well, I'll be more then happy. She already shows great retrieving abilities and a good nose for scent.
Most of my pups have been born in Feb. and trained over the summer. This one is already 12 weeks old so the training is starting earlier in the year then usual. Snow holds scent very well.
Someone should have reminded me of the puppy chewing, wrestling, potty training and naming..... the bird training will be the fun part.

good luck to all
