“I don’t want you hunting this outfit.”

Less than 8k a person though right? Otherwise they would have just paid for that access across the private. Its not quite the same.

I can't imagine the prices for a helo ride are more expensive than the rates in AK flying bush planes due to the logistics, location and risk/insurance costs. With that said, I think I can comfortably assume that they paid somewhere in the range of 2k-4k per person for the flight which would put it quite a bit cheaper than the private land access route and not at all too far out of "your typical hunters" as people pay these prices all the time to hunt in Alaska. They are paying for those flights typically to hunt quality animals in an exclusive place - no different than this hunt
Helicopters are insanely expensive. You are probably looking at $2500+ per flight hour to break even if it’s a turbine Bell 206. Bush flights are not in the same universe using light fixed wing.

Only the ones with badges are allowed to hand out ass whoopings these days…

It’s too bad too, I feel like LEOs had a lot less phone calls about drama to deal with, back when shady people were still getting ass whoopings from the would-be victim… Glad they got the rack back and that would-be victim was NOT so much of a weenie that he stayed back and just snapped photos. I would hope that if the rancher got his ass whipped and ol MTLAB shows up he wouldn’t be quick to slap on “felony charges”. Who would be the immoral one then?… some mugshots have big smiles. As they should.

This particular, but I doubt all too rare, ADJACENT landowner entitlement is out of control. He knew full well he was committing premeditated theft and harassment and DID NOT CARE. This is no grey area, no debate, no complicated technical argument, no competing versions of truth. No LE or court should give him a break based on him "not wanting them to hunt that outfit." The only "better" decisions he started making happened after he was caught red handed and fortunately gave back the head. Too late! Bet he probably went to church on Sunday and didn't even bow his head an inch in shame. And his family and buddies, and he, probably STILL believe he was in the right. Twisted.

I'm going to be most interested in the hunter harassment issue.

I have my doubts a citation will be issued, but hope I'm wrong.

A helicopter costs about $1500/hr. Pretty affordable split between five people. A hour each direction is like $600/person. this assumes you can fit everybody and their gear in the same trip, which I have no idea if that’s the case.

What is much more unique is that anybody has four other people they like, trust, and have the time to hunt with all on the same schedule.
