It has been raining for 5 or 6 days straight, and I am tired of it. The backyard is starting to flood, since the ground is so saturated that it can't absorb any more water. I'm afraid that my basement is going to start getting wet. I have reloaded a ton of ammo, and now I am starting to feel like my son's flu has gotten to me.

I may break out the rain gear and go take a walk, just to get outside!

Fortunately, I was just voted into a local sportsmen's club that has an underground range!

But I want to see the sun!!!

I hear you--it was nice yesterday here in SF, but here she comes again today and tomorrow--I hope they're right that it is going to be clear come Wed and then stay that way for awhile--chris

Not much better up this way Cali...unless you want to see some of that white stuff mixed into it. The town is inundated with big-rigs right now as just about the only way out of Redding that doesn't require chains is south.

My buddy owns the Big-O Tire store here in town and they went through 2/3'ds of their chain inventory over the weekend

I here ya Rick, but look at the brite side, we will not have to listen to all the farmers and power companys sniveling about the drought this year ! (they will be screaming flood instead )
Just before the rain started, I was about to finish rakeing leaves for the year, along with a few days worth of dog poop. Now my backyard is six inches deep in a foul smelling stew !

That's part of the problem right now - traveling is almost impossible with both the Cajon and Devore passes closed with fog, snow or rain (or all three!)

I went to work this morning and then came home - it looks like Mikey has passed his flu along to me. :BLEEP:

That's what it is like up here, just not has hard of a rain. So are we in El Nino or La Nina or what???????
Quick Draw

I am supposed to be down near Ariviapa Canyon hunting stink piggy and coues deer. I can't go because there is about 8 feet of standing water across the road in. We are scheduled for more rain this morning.

Cali.. How about you Kalifornicators doing us Zonies a favor and keep your water in your own yard?

I guess though, come summer time, we'll be grateful for all of this wet contribution, so we'll call it a draw.

Whitedeer, I hear you used to be called Blackdeer until you got covered with snow... From what I saw last week flying back from Seattle, the Sierra's have been hammered.

Dan - just consider it payback for what we take from the Colorado River... :D

LMAO

That is True We dried it up!!!

I remember back in the 80's when we had a very bad drought!!!! Be thankful for the rain now, because if you lived in Cali back then you should be thankful for to much rain instead of not enought!
