Since I was a teenager, I've always wanted to try to harvest one a deer with a handgun. At that time, my older cousin had bought a Colt Anaconda, chambered in 44 mag, and had taken a couple deer with it. I always had it in my mind that when I got older, I would get that buy exact gun and hunt with it. This past fall I finally got the chance to do so. It was a bucket list item hat was a lot of fun to check off the list!

Congrats! What load did you use? DRT can't ask for anything more than that.
Used Remington 180 grain soft nose. I debated on getting some larger loads but in my experience, soft nose bullets always seem to work really well, dear, and I thought with 180 gr versus something like a 240 gr, it would really shoot a lot flatter.

Looks like a pre-2000 Anaconda? I’d love to have one, but apparently lots of other people want one more than I do. 😆 💰
I wish it was pre-2000. No it's a brand new model. Shoots really nice though. I sure would love to find out where I could get a trigger job on it, though. Trigger is a little heavy in my opinion.
