Today, I'm really smiling!

We relocated to western CO from SD this summer and the house sale in SD was really slow. We could only hear the crickets for the first few months.

We decided to buy at the new place instead of rent, so we were sweating two house payments....with thoughts of the wife going back to work as we watch our savings account decline monthly......

Today the house in SD sold and money is in the bank.

Right now I'm pretty sure I could run a 5 minute mile, bench press my body weight 10 X, and pee straight and far. In fact, I sense my hair growing back on my head.

I'd resigned myself to a vegetarian fall while hunting vicariously through other Hunttalkers...but now, I'm trolling heavy to see what the work schedule will allow and what tags are left remaining in CO, ID, SD, and perhaps snowcock hunting in NV?

Of course there's a pile of to-do's on the new home, as it was neglected for a long time. If I run into anyone from Hunttalk, I'm buying!

I believe everything but the "pee straight" part:D

Congrats to You... I know lots of People who can't even get a nibble on their houses.

That's awesome T-bone. I see where you wrote a not that you could have helped me pack out my bull in CO. I wish I knew. ;)

Glad you got the house sold.

As you know, still SD archery tags to be had. Pretty sure I saw some leftover WR tags as well.

Glad yer in Colorado, I have a load of points I need to dump and a straong guy to go with my to help pack out a critter. Now, yer da MAN ;)

Tell the Jwn' hi for me and Vicki, and swing by next time you come to town to see family.

Moosie, I'll be in the Boise valley for a wedding October 8-9 for Jen's brother's wedding....you'll probably be hunting, but if not, we might drop by and visit you and Warren.

Would have been fun to meet you and I would have bought, but leaving on the 8th for a week (deer/elk). Any chance you can bag the wedding? Steak night (Saturday) is always the night before opener.

No reason to be hunting for me. I'll be around. We have November hunts. Oscar has the Owyhee Nov Buck tag and I'm hunting the Late Season Muzz elk and deer. Oct 15 we'll be chasing elk in the Sawtooths for O-Town though...

I'm still jealous you live so close to the Gunnison River...I wonder if the fishing is still as good as it was when I was in college (late 90s).

Montrose is a great place. It's a great fit for us.

Fishing on the Gunnison is top rate. This summer, I picked up the fly rod again and fast fell in love with the Green Gunnison waters.

Looks like I'm going to ID with my original hunting partner, Pops. Anyone know if there are any deer left in Unit 50?
