House kills bill limiting game warden powers

I remember an old story my dad told about a hunter down the Gallatin Canyon years back who shot a Chocolate colored Mule mistaking it for a Cow Moose...

I've also watched Cormorants get shot as Geese. I would have hated to be that duck dog... I bet those cormorants smelled about as pretty as rotting squid...

The bill was pretty bad, and the brain child of the Montana Shooting Sports Association.

It would have made a warden have to get a warrant to check a fishing creel. THere's a dangerous precedent being set this session where legislators get to stand up and basically submit hearsay as "factual testimony." I like Representative Mortenson and think he's a good guy, even if we disagee at times, but I'm glad this bill died.
