Where is Lawnboy? He should have some pictures to post of the mentally ill horses he uses while hunting.:D

Watch your mouth sucka! I bought a good one last year and I have a few picts I'll dig up from this year. Mine don't sound half as bad as your friends or your father in laws.;):D

I've had 2 kill over on me up on the mountain. I guess I'm the grim reaper of horses. Or as one person said "Horse Killereer" instead of Horse Whisperer.

Horses are a big part of my out of state adventures.
RIP. A gelding I used in the Eagle Cap Wilderness Summer of 1994.

THis early Fall Nor Cal Wilderness, on a seriously overloaded horse. I ended up leading him when we hit the Up grades on the 9 mile ride in.

OK one more if you will permit it. There are lots of horses out there that are better conformation, better trained , better pedigrees, etc. But when you walk out of the house, and you see your 4 year old doing this with your un-restrained gelding, I can overlook some of his faults....

Great picts Rocky! Some of the best horses around are "grade" horses. My uncle is a lifelong horse shoer/roper and gave me some advice in regards to this. He asked me if all my kids were the same temperment and attitude and I said no. He said even with the same parents you get all different attitudes and even athletic abilities. You can't always be sure your getting a great horse just because the parents were great.

That one your daughter is getting on is a keeper for sure. Wanna sell it?:D

AZ Elk hunt 2011

Packing our 1X 6 elk, ( thats what happens when you shoot them off a 100 ft cliff.) from the Wallow fire burned area. The elk were pretty scarce.

Man that looks like fun. If any one has an extra horse in MT and wants someone to split gas money id be glad to tag along :D Ive never done a back country ride before and it sounds like an awesome experience

This is making my day too, I've viewed this thread about 20 times. (I want to hunt with you sometime Much2Hunt!) Awesome pictures there sir. Impressive. You too there 2rocky.

I need to find and scan in my 1st elk hunt picture from '96 where we made panyards out of a tarp and threw a deer whole over the donkey. Great times.

Keep these coming.

Great thread and congrats to you horsemen. The time, effort and money you put into those critters has to be commended also. All we have left of dads stuff is his sawbuck and bags. Will never forget those days growing up.
