Happy Wheel Gun Wednesday

I had the 30 Carbine Blackhawk first. I tripped over the IBM US Carbine in a LGS in Tempe, AZ. I bought a "broken" 22LR/22MAG single six that day too for $100.
$4 in parts from Numrich and she was good to go.

Generally just a fun day of trigger time out in Red Green, but I was hoping to take a ground squirrel with a Speer Varminter. It was too cold that day and they didn't wanna come out to play. The holster is my Diamond D chest rig for 7 1/2 Blackhawk. I use it for the BH Hunter, but the 30 Carb fits.

30 Carbine BH is #2 on the earsplitting index after my 4" Security Six.

@shrapnel Tell me how those other calibers shoot in comparison to the newer ones built now (38, 357, 44, etc). Are they about the same, drastically more recoil, what say Shrap?
I like the 38-40 most because of the manageable recoil. It is a bit more than a 38 special, but a lot less than a 357 magnum. I would compare it to a 44 special, it shoots a 180-200 grain bullet at about 1100 FPS. They say the 38-40 is ballistically the equivalent to the modern 40 S&W.

I have quite a few of them...

Ok, I know it’s not Wednesday, but it finally dried out enough to drive to the lower pasture where I shoot. Needed to chrono a few loads.

32H&R, 327 Fed, and two 45 colts.

Still waiting on a pair to come back from Bowen. I guess Turnbull is jammed up and delaying a lot of stuff.

Bold move going with a fixed sight Premier Grade Freedom Arms revolver. Nice collection, and I am looking forward to seeing what you get back from Bowen.

The fixed sight 45 is my backpacking gun and just general carry around the farm. The FA97 fits my hand perfectly and is a lot of fun to shoot.
