Congrats, basing yourself out of skowhegan will put you closest to the most moose and still have options, if focus around the 201, check out the general store / diner in Solon

How did your moose hunt go?
Called in two small bulls. Never saw a big one
One cool thing was we found a wedding ring in the mud on a logging road. Posted it on the Maine Moose Hunters forum on FB. Found the owner right off. Turns out the guy lost it 10 yrs ago while deer hunting. His anniversary was in two weeks

I hate to hear that you didn’t find a bull you would be happy with after so many years of trying for a tag. That one week season makes it tough.
I had fun got to hunt with my buddy who lives there. It would have been nice if a big bull had come out but, we still called in two. That was a tough unit. We hunted all day every day no road hunting hiking and calling. Wasn't from lack of effort.
