The wife is doing amazing! My boy swallowed some meconium during the birth and is having some problems with his O2 levels. I've been assured it's fairly normal and they're on top of everything but he'll be spending at least a little time in the NICU. Other then that a very healthy, normal, and rather large (9lb 2oz) baby boy.

Congratulations! That’s great news!
Our son had the same issue. My wife was fairly unaware because it was a c-section but it was nerve racking seeing your child in that little incubator with wires and stuff attached to him. I noticed none of the nurses or the Dr seemed to be rushed or overly panicked so I figured if they were acting a little more urgent my anxiety would have been higher. Later they said it’s common with C-section because when they go through the vaginal canal that fluid gets squeezed out.

NICU can be terrifying but know your son has the best of the best taking care of him. Our son was emergency C-Section 42 years ago from umbilical cord strangling him so he was in NICU for about 3 days for observation. I was so beside myself when they said I could touch him, I picked him up disconnecting all the monitors. Yeah, that went well. But he was fine. Just new dad. He is now a president of a good size company doing extremely well.
Enjoy every second! Its an eye-blink before they grow up!

I got in to work about 9 am yesterday and was home by 6. In by 6:30 this morning. I’ll spare everyone pictures of the clogged toilets and piles of puke dried to the floor in the bathrooms. It was busy, surprisingly, there are no huge issues to deal with. But today is a new day!
Looks like you had a great 4th. I think silver creek rodeo company has a saddle bronc named little big man. Pretty cool you got to meet ol Donny Gay.

was one of the highlights of the week for sure. Because I didn’t remember hearing of any announcements that he was gonna be there or he was gonna do any kind of an autograph signing.
I was randomly walking past after the rodeo waiting for the concert to start , I can’t remember what I was doing. Going to look at something and all of a sudden I saw a him out of the corner of my eye, sitting at a table with like 4-5 people talking to him and 95% of the crowd was just walking past him.
