I just caught wind Hank Shaw has another book coming out called Borderlands. I can say his Buck Buck Moose book has been a staple in our house for many years and as a result, a gift to so many friends and family who hunt. Amazing recipes. We are pumped to check out these new recipes in this book. Sounds like it’s important to source it directly from his site, not Amazon.

If we get enough CO folks who are interested, we could likely line up an event for a book signing too. He says he only needs at least ~50 commitments to make it worth while. I’d be in for at least 4 between a personal one and gifts. Anyone else in the Denver/Front range interested?

Sounds like the food I grew up on. Looking forward to checking it out.
I like Shaw's recipes but I'm usually too lazy to go to the extreme detail he does. I'll take his recipes and make them way simpler. They still come out good.

I'd be in for 3-4 as well. Think Tattered Cover would be interested in hosting it?

Hank is truly a treasure. Not just a fantastic chef and writer, but an honest-to-God good dude. Went to a wild game dinner he put on at Acre in Auburn several years ago and I introduced my wife by telling him that she hadn't eaten much wild game before we met, but that his recipes had been her entry point into wild critters. He was incredibly gracious and spent several minutes chatting with her.

I'd be in for 2-3, just got mine in the mail as well. Looks awesome!

@Hunting Wife - you beat me to it tonight! We just wrapped dinner and I was joking with my wife that I needed to post. We made the Baja fish tacos and his pico salsa. Also insanely amazing! Made it with rockfish and went heavy with some diced chipotles in the crema. My 5 year old son crushed 4 of the loaded tacos!

Keep the initial feedback coming! Too many good looking recipes in there to prioritize!

Got mine a week or so ago and have pretty much read it like a novel. Can’t wait to try some recipes
I echo that Hank is just a good guy. Wife and I met him at a dinner he did in Pittsburgh a few years ago. He sat at our table and chatted about hunting.
