Grouse Hunting On December 27

The snow is the least I have ever seen this late in the season. We headed up to some high country looking for Blue Grouse. We may have gotten too high…

Don't have any pics of goats but it is 51 degrees this morning.
I hate El Nino winters.

@shrapnel Love those pics. I know for sure that if you had a goat tag you would have a lever gun with a caliber that I have never shot that would do the job on him/her.
BTW, any grouse to be found??

I had a Sharps 40-90 bottleneck with me, it would have worked minus a Goat tag and closed season.

There were several Blue Grouse, but flushed too soon to kill one…

I Always seem to have a hard time finding late season grouse, except when I'm elk hunting.

Yes I have killed grouse with all sorts of old guns, it’s more challenging than a shotgun…
