That's the catch 22 of hunting in grizz country. Making noise probably would have scared the bear off before the hunters got too close, but you can't make noise while hunting. Glad they got out unscathed

This is true! But I feel like a bullet hole in the shoulder might be better than getting torn up by an angry grizz!

I totally felt the same way you know we gave those guys a lot of crap for that, but a grizzly at 15 yards that’s danger Close , probably pretty chaotic and I’d rather get shot in the shoulder than be mauled or eaten as well

I was 50 yds maybe last June from a cub and sow , and I thought I was dead. 15 yds ugh

Basically in yellowstone so it makes sense. This momma and her cubs have been being seen almost daily around shotgun and bills island up there.
