Come on keep us posted how it turns out!I was trolling FB last night. I haven’t read all the comments but I suspect death threats at this point. And why do they think it’s a insult to call me a middle aged fat white guy when that’s exactly what I am?View attachment 311722View attachment 311723

You should!I’m about to change my name to Clayton Danger.
Experience and treachery…
I just went and looked all pretty lame so far but there are too many to read. One called me a neck beard with a beer belly.Come on keep us posted how it turns out!
I was curious why they only used an average from 2020 to 2022 as the starting point for this analysis...
I think it's because in 2019 you had to pay up front for that tag and it went from ~2,000 to over $4,000 for a non resident. From 20 -22 it was stable.I was curious why they only used an average from 2020 to 2022 as the starting point for this analysis...
And quickly realized that's because in 2019 there were 1909 resident bull applicants. And in 2018 there were 1672. And in 2017 there were 1958.
I figured there was more to the story. Thanks for digging that up.Yeah confirmed it. The number of applicants in 2017, 2018, and 2019 aren't relevant because the price of a tag jumped from 2000 to 4400 in 2020.
They're only using the numbers for resident hunters applying for bull/any bison, so we're talking about 400-some-odd bucks. And I'll admit I'm not familiar with the changes they've made on the R side, only NR. I haven't looked at if/how tag numbers have fluctuated in this time either.Yeah confirmed it. It could also be a result of the 90-10 R/NR law going into effect in Jan 2023? More WY residents interested in applying for the big 5 because the allocation changed? They're only using the numbers for resident hunters applying for bull/any bison, so we're talking about 400-some-odd bucks. For what it's worth, non-residents apps went down between 2022 and 2023, so apparently they didn't see the Weatherby YouTube video.
2023: 443; 2022: 482; 2021: 413. 2020: 296; 2019: 509; 2018: 640.
I don't really have a dog in this fight, I just thought it seemed like a pretty unserious claim based on a small sample size.
