When my friend Jake asked me if I had an ice axe last week, I knew he likely had something unusual going on. Of of character for him, he was extra excited about a nighttime photograph he was planning to take. He told me of his plan to hike to around 11,000 feet and get to the edge of a mtn right across from the Grand, and get a nighttime milky way photo. He just added a sneak peak of the photo to his Instagram page. It's certainly worth a look.
